The best version of you is the beautiful, confident you.

Clinic 1 Dermal Fillers are a safe, non-surgical procedure used to enhance facial features. Our signature technique is the perfect blend of experience, skill and artistry.

What is Dermal Filler?

Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring polysaccharide that presents in our bodies, mostly in connective tissue and skin. As we age, the production of HA along with collagen and elastin decreases. As a result, our skin loses hydration and plumpness, and face tissues loses volume. At Clinic 1 Dermal Filler is a popular, safe and effective treatment that creates an instant plumping effect and restores skin volume and youthfulness, using Hyaluronic Acid (HA) as an injectable gel.

What areas can be treated with Dermal Filler?

Not all dermal fillers are made the same. Here at Clinic 1, we only use HA based fillers – and can choose the right dermal filler for the result you want to achieve.

Thick fillers are stronger and are perfect for face sculpting and restoring volume in:

·       Cheeks

·       Chin

·       Jawline

Thinner fillers are more spreadable gels, and used for enhancing:

·       Lips

·       Temples

·       Under Eye hollows

·       Hands

We also offer super soft fillers. Unlike the thick and thin fillers, we don’t use soft fillers for volume as they’re too thin, smooth and spreadable. Instead, we use them to treat fine lines, folds and wrinkles in:

·       Nasolabial folds (folds from nose to corners of mouth)

·       Marionette lines (lines from the corners of the mouth to the jawline)

·       Neck lines

·       Eye Area

Is Dermal Filler safe?

Yes, but only in the hands of experienced injectors – we can’t stress this enough. Dermal fillers are a medical procedure which require a lot of skill, knowledge, and experience. If you don’t choose your injector wisely, here’s what can go wrong:

·       Vascular Occlusion – a rare but real complication that can cause necrosis (death) of tissue and even blindness. Your injector must know how to recognise and treat this.

·       Incorrect placement or over filling treatment areas. Creating a strange, puffy look or in the case of lips – filler migration. To avoid this your injector must have both technical skill and an artistic eye to achieve a natural, balanced look.

We often see low-skill injectors treating clients with cheek fillers, but completely ignoring areas like temples or under the eye. Here at Clinic 1, we are artists  and we know what it takes to achieve a beautiful appearance through the art and skill of Dermal Fillers.

Does it hurt and how long will it last?

Dermal Filler injections aren’t painful as the filler itself contains anaesthetic. We’ve also mastered using a cannula – a blunt needle that doesn’t hurt. But for our most anxious clients we have additional pain management options including ice, topical anaesthetic and gas (Pentrhox.)

Longevity of dermal fillers depends on the brand, thickness of filler, amount used and lifestyle and metabolism factors. On average thinner fillers last 6-9 months and thicker filler lasts up to 2 years. Over time your body naturally breaks down the hyaluronic acid.

How quickly will I see results?

Dermal Filler is one of the most popular cosmetic injectables because of its instant effect, you’ll see the result straight away. However, be prepared for some downtime with swelling and sometimes bruising. To minimise side effects, we ask you avoid alcohol, coffee and blood thinner medications before the appointment. And to speed up the healing process we recommend you avoid heavy exercise, saunas and any pressure to the treated area(s). You can also apply ice to help with swelling.

Dermal fillers can be done in combination with anti-wrinkle injections and other treatments to achieve the best result.

Can you dissolve existing Dermal Filler?

Yes, we’re able to dissolve fillers if the filler migrated or the result isn’t what you were seeking. We do this by injecting the enzyme, Hyalase.

How much does Dermal Filler cost?

Every client and treatment area is different, so the amount used will vary. Dermal fillers come in 1ml syringes, and the price is $650 - $750 for 1ml. We’ve put together the following guide to give you an idea.

Whole face transformation –  5-7 ml (or more)

Cheeks & Jawline – 1ml each side

Lips – 0.5-1ml

Chin – 0.5-1ml

Temples – 0.5-1ml each side

Under Eyes – 0.5ml each side
